The Celtic Spaceship is a four-piece electro-folk outfit from Glastonbury featuring three members of local legends Dragonsfly. Blending ancient Celtic tunes with experimental electronic soundscapes, they’ll have you tapping your feet one moment, and floating away on clouds of psychedelic ambience the next.

MICHAEL FAIRFAX: Artist Talk
Making Ear Harps in Chiang Mai, Thailand, 2024

Ear Harps are instruments that can only be heard by the player as the instrument has no sound chamber and so the sound is transferred via vibration through the wood, thus making it a very intimate experience.
Michael was awarded a British council ‘Connections Through Culture’ grant to work with artists in Thailand. The project called ‘Whispering Nature’, was hosted by theatre company ‘Wandering Moon and Endless Journey’.
During Michael’s three week stay in Chiang Mai at the end of January 2024 he also gave a TEDx Chiang Mai talk.
During the talk at ACEarts, Michael will discuss his time in Thailand, the workshops he led as well as his trip to a Karen Village in Northern Thailand connecting with a tribe who also make ear harps.
